Sounds Like Old Stuff Again
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
Even if they made some upgrade around the game for the building system and new units it still the same old game, You can easily see the same concept used in Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos. Batlle Net System is the major asset from this game. They made their upgrades for it and which render playing online the most valuable choice. The Campaign storyline is great but that's all stuff I've seen before from them. Clearly they made this game for the 90s, not sure you can really improve any RTS. By playing this I think I know that RTS game for me are over, I thought it would be different with Starcraft 2 but it's not. Graphics are still very cartoon like World of Warcraft except a few extra shade upgrade and animation in cutscene are the worst.

Starcraft 2 is not and won't be for me the game of the year, there are far greater games and companies out there that prove themself for us.

Story

Professor Layton and the Unwound Future places the professor and his trusted apprentice Luke at the center of a spellbinding adventure after they receive a strange letter – sent by Luke 10 years in the future. According to this message something is askew in the days to come. The London of the future is in chaos and disarray, and according to Luke, the only person who can help set things right is Professor Layton.

Gameplay

Like all games in the Professor Layton series Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is a single player puzzle adventure. Puzzles are essentially brainteasers touching on a large variety of puzzle types, including spatial orientation, logic, riddles and many more. The game's story reveals itself as the player successfully solves a minimum number of puzzles that she/he faces using the DS stylus to move throughout the game's hand-drawn style game environments. Success at puzzle solving earns the player in-game coins. A certain number of coins can also found by simply exploring the game environment. Players are given multiple chances to solve puzzles and when stuck can choose to spend coins in order to buy hints. The game keeps track of puzzles found, puzzles solved, the player's score and playing time, and features easy-to-use save functionality, a journal for note keeping and an area to save items found for later use. In addition to the game's 165 built-in puzzles, additional puzzles will be available for download on a weekly basis for a limited time after game launch.

Key Game Features

  • More than 165 new puzzles weave seamlessly into the storyline, challenging player with fun, brain-teasing logic puzzles and riddles, and even new types of puzzles
  • This game features significantly more hand-drawn animated sequences and voice acting than the previous installment of the series
  • Players who are still stumped with a puzzle after three subtle hints can select the new "superhint" option to point them toward a solution
  • As with previous incarnations in the franchise, weekly downloadable puzzles will be available after launch for a limited time
  • A large cast of eccentric non-player characters, as well as an invocative soundtrack designed to match the varied game environments and gameplay

SAMUS RETURNS TO HER ROOTS - AND IT'S AN OVERBLAST!
Metroid: Other M
The METROID franchise was slowly going astray, falling "victim" to innovations that mostly worked yet, at the same time, were turning METROID games into a typical space shooter. Don't get me wrong, I greatly enjoyed the Metroid Trilogy - it just did not give off the sense of a classic METROID game. Well, NINTENDO made sure to take care of that.

THE OTHER M is an old-school platform shooter, only equipped with the latest innovations that enhance rather than hinder the true character of the game. Samus Aran can now move in 3D (and not only in a sidescrolling manner), yet this is and feels like a classic platform game. There is some puzzle-solving and expect to spend quite some time in the form of a morphing ball, zipping through pipes, bypassing obstacles, unlocking security doors and finding powerups; and the FirstPerson perspective is still available to deliver devastating missile shots (while keeping Samus stationary and vulnerable to enemy attacks, one cannot play the game as an FPS). Nevertheless, this is an pure action-shooter game that is greatly enjoyable.

Visually this must be the best game I ever played on Wii, with beautiful and distinct environments than never get boring and never interfere with the gameplay. And, following the tradition of the classic Metroid games, the THE OTHER M experience is enhanced by great orchestral music. Nothing epic, but it sure fits the mood of the scene it accompanies.

THE OTHER M is a tad story-heavier than I would have liked and the cinematic sequences are unskipable(?) whereas, annoyingly, the story at times throws Samus in the midst of her enemies with minimal firepower and often without her Varia suit. Other than those minor complains (and it being a bit short), this is one of the best games I have ever played on a console.
I dare say, this is a title that is comparable to the monumental Super Metroid.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
