Perhaps my expectations were a bit high, but the MS 2008 for Mac Home & Student Edition does what is required, but little more. While the functionality is rather underwhelming, it does "the trick". I was hoping for improved functionality, better (more intuitive) user interface; keeping "what worked" from previous versions; more intuitive (and easier to customize) toolbars and the like, but found the product to be very similar to the latest PC-based MSOffice version than not. If you require compatibility with PC-based MSOffice software; are familiar with PC-based MSOffice menus and functionality, then this product will likely meet your needs.

Perhaps it's me, but I can't for the life of me ascertain how Microsoft has not managed to improve the functionality in its PowerPoint product to resize text boxes and "text added" autoshapes after the fact in the same manner as the pre-loaded text boxes in the templates. Also, Excel 2003 and prior editions were far superior to the later versions, which have multiple, confusing menus with difficult to customize toolbars and seemingly more obtuse charting/graphing tools.

A word to the wise, in order to successfully download, you'll need to remove all previous versions of this software. You'll have to do a bit of looking around on your Mac to find all the registry entries. If you do not delete all traces of previous versions, the software may not install.

This is a fine product, albeit somewhat bloated.

Another review has given it one star on the basis of it not supporting RAW formats. However, it does. There is a free RAW 6.1 plug-in for Elements, with the same camera support as in full PhotoShop. Easily determined with reference to the Adobe website.

This is a great game (although I don't consider it a game fore it doesn't meet the definition of a video game), and other people would agree, including all of those people and companies that have decided that it would be a great idea to make an "add-on". You can purchase an add-on in retail stores or ordering it on-line, which is much more popular to do and I think the most reasonable way to do it, and you can download free-ware or pay-ware (though pay-ware almost always is the better way to go). Microsoft FSX includes many missions ranging from; back country bush flying to airliners to flying in red bull air races. It also includes, in the fully purchased version, on-line multiplayer, a good way to fly with your friends and family, or even make new friends all over the world. you can even join virtual airlines (VA) or a virtual military (VM) from various airlines, from Air Canada to Zwaan Airlines. You will be able to fly from 24,000+ airports, so what's to keep you from buzzing your town, taking off and landing at your local airport.

There is no substitute for a suite of products that work well together. Yes one can obtain similar products for free on the internet; similar but missing the best. OneNote is a tool I use daily for personal info and project planning (notes, budget, and related documents). OK you get Live Mail, and schedule for free; unfortunately many pieces needed for managing mail and merging with Emails are not there.

Quickbooks 2010 Pro
I have been using Quickbooks products since the 1990's. I was even one of their beta testers when they first came to Canada. I recently updated to Quickbooks Pro 2010 and love the simplicity and intuitive handling of all the banking and accounting activities for my own Group & Living Benefits Specialist Business where I work with 27 different companies and need to keep track of commissions, etc. My second business is writing and authoring articles for various magazines and this requires a different type of accounting. I also donate time to a non-profit business and do their books for them along with their payroll. Since they only have one employee I use the Canada Revenue site to calculate payroll and do T4s. A tip if you are considering buying and Intuit product - Depending on your needs you may not have to go o the higher level of Quickbooks Premier 2010.
In all my years of using Intuit products I have always found the support staff to be courteous and responsive to my needs. Their Satisfaction Guarantee will give you 60 days to try and if your not happy you can have your money back. They believe in the product. I agree with them. High quality and easy use.

I played halo on launch date for the xbox but Playing it again on pc with the mouse aiming and the awsome crisp graphics was worth it.
